Consultancy and Engineering Awards
Celebrating excellence – your people, projects and businesses
The Consultancy and Engineering Awards shine a light on the excellence that underpins some of the UK’s most impactful projects. Working for businesses of all sizes, engineering consultants deliver amazing things every day, from groundbreaking innovations to vital infrastructure, sustainable communities and environmental solutions that prepare us for the future.
We’re celebrating the best projects, businesses, and people who drive progress and success. The awards serve as a platform to showcase the exciting opportunities our sector offers to the next generation. They also aim to acknowledge the sector's importance and its broader social value impact.

Meet the Host
Spencer Kelly
Technology Presenter and Journalist
Spencer Kelly is the BBC’s longest serving and most experienced technology presenter and journalist. He’s been hosting Click, the BBC Technology TV programme since 2006, and for more than 20 years has travelled the world, marvelling at how science and innovation is changing people’s lives.
His academic background (a double first in Computer Science from Cambridge and an Honorary Doctorate in Technology) is only the beginning of his accolades - he’s also won the T3 Tech Personality of the Year award, he came a cruel second on Celebrity Mastermind, fronted Panorama, presented at the BAFTAs, and hosted a three world firsts - the world’s first 360 show in virtual reality, the world’s first TV show filmed and edited solely on a mix of phones and tablets, and he fought a wizard in the world’s first multi-choice factual choose your own adventure programme that lets the viewer choose their path through the stories.
His life-long love affair with science and tech has seen him play a robot at ping-pong in Japan, explore the Large Hadron Collider, get rescued by a robot lifeguard, visit the Anti-matter factory, and discover the life-changing impact of just one SIM card in the townships of Africa.
He’s also chatted to the biggest names in the business - Bill Gates, James Cameron, Paul McCartney, will.i.am, Brian Eno, Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, David Attenborough, Stephen Fry, and even talked tech with HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Awards Testimonials
Philippa Spence, UK Managing Director, Ramboll
“The market has been challenging for the last few years, but we have looked after each other and worked hard – so to see that recognised is incredibly satisfying, it’s a real boost for the team. These awards allow us the opportunity to take stock – and celebrate.”
Richard Risdon, Managing Director for UK and Europe, Mott MacDonald
“We're honoured to win this award which is testament to our commitment to integrate inclusion into every aspect of our industry. We're delighted that our progress has received prominent recognition this year and remain focused on creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all our colleagues”.
Paul Matthews, Regional Director, AECOM
“Leith Connections is a great example of the wide-ranging benefits a collaborative approach to delivery can bring to communities. Starting out as a new segregated cycle route, our multidisciplinary team worked with City of Edinburgh Council to broaden its scope, creating a low traffic neighbourhood, improved accessibility, new public realm, and sustainable urban drainage features that transform the area. We’re delighted to receive the ACE Best Transport Project Award, which recognises the impact of our cross-discipline and community-led approach.”
