This webinar, organised by ACE’s Emerging Professionals, will explore the importance of incorporating the effects of climate change on the UK’s policy framework, including the launch of the Whole Life Carbon Roadmap at COP26 in November.

As well as this, the discussion will explore achieving Net Zero carbon through early holistic carbon assessments, and design-based on real performance.

Joining Iria Heitel, vice chair of the ACE Emerging Professionals (London and South East) are a number of experts from industry and academia.

Karl Desai, is senior advisor at the UK Green Building Council, leader in the development of UKGBC’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings: A Framework Definition and co-author of Building the Case for Net Zero. Dr John Orr is a lecturer in concrete structures and EPSRC early career fellow in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Finally, Ioana Price is senior structural engineer and contributor to AECOM’s carbon design tool, Scope X.
