PERSONAL BRANDING FOR CONSULTANTS AND ENGINEERS

Progress Network Midlands is pleased to announce its second workshop in its Personal Branding series at which Michael de Groot will introduce you to the power of Storytelling.

"Facts tell and Stories sell"... Storytelling has been around since the beginning of human times. Whether it was storytelling around the campfire or nowadays in any kind of modern-day media, it was and still is the best way for us to remember people, places, things and times.

In this interactive workshop you will even make a start on writing your own story.

Michael is a Dutchman and is passionate about storytelling. No, he doesn’t have any jokes up his sleeves, he doesn't tell children’s stories and is not even a published author. He says he doesn't even like novels. He does, however, enjoy writing short articles on medium.com.

With his business Staying Alive UK, he produces bespoke and visually impactful cartoons and animation campaigns, engaging audiences and giving them a unique insight into an organisation's story and value proposition. Through collaboration his business also now offers Augmented Reality (AR) to support storytelling.

He says that you are actually already the biggest storyteller in your life, so why not tell your business story in a fun way? He also hosts his own podcast called Share Your Story, volunteers with the homeless charity Crisis in Birmingham, and is a student of yoga, mindfulness meditation and minimalism. Just his way of developing a more meaningful life.

Questions on the event can be directed to Progress Network Midlands chair, Petros Kkolas.
