‘Net Zero’ is a word used daily by our countries’ political and business leaders; clearly, sustainability and environmental impact are at the forefront of modern society thinking.

But is there a better way to address the challenges of the climate emergency and the environment, rather than making sure our operations have a net ‘neutral’ impact? Is merely offsetting the negative impact of our operations the answer?

Regenerative design is a new and developing field in engineering which seeks to give back more than it takes away,to look beyond just rebalancing the scales.

In this talk, ACE Emerging Professionals Wales host Laurence Pinn of Tate+Co Architects, and Anthony Davies of 3Adapt Consultants, who are leading figures in ‘Regenerative Design’ in the UK. Having worked together on numerous schemes across the UK, Laurence and Anthony will share what RD means to them and how engineers can integrate these principles in their work.
