THE FUTURE OF CLIENT-LED R&D: WHAT THIS MEANS FOR MEMBERS
WEBINAR
THE FUTURE OF CLIENT-LED R&D
HMRC recently argued that R&D paid for by a client is – in effect – subsidised. As this form of R&D expenditure is ineligible for SME R&D tax relief, the end-result is that consultancy and engineering firms have been denied potential six-figure R&D tax credit benefits.
ACE's affiliate ForrestBrown has successfully challenged HMRC in court on behalf of its clients on this issue, but with HMRC likely to continue to challenge businesses in this area, what is next for ACE members?
To help unpick the issues and provide the latest up-to-date guidance, ACE and ForrestBrown are hosting an online webinar on the future of subsidised R&D on Wednesday 18 May at 12.00 to 12.45pm.
Aimed at senior business leaders and directors, as well as those already working with R&D tax credits, the webinar features ForrestBrown’s tax director Jenny Tragner CA ATT, their engineering sector specialist Gareth Randle, and ACE’s Ian Parker.
This webinar is open to anyone working for an ACE or EIC member.
