ACE has taken the extremely difficult decision to reschedule or cancel a number of conferences and events in anticipation of expected disruption to business activities owing to coronavirus / COVID-19.
The affected events are as follows:
- Consultancy and Engineering Awards 2020 (London) – Postponed from 4 June to Tuesday 22 September at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
- Future of Consultancy Conference 2020 (London) – Postponed from 4 June to Tuesday 22 September at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
- Intelligent Infrastructure – How Smart Technology can be integrated into our society (Oxford) – Originally 26 March, now postponed to a future date TBC.
Other events as listed on the ACE and EIC websites are currently scheduled to take place. This includes the regular group meetings where attendees will be offered the opportunity to participate remotely from wherever they are based. Details of ACE’s upcoming events can be viewed here and EIC’s here.
ACE and EIC offices in London currently remain open as normal. However, the situation will be monitored closely on a daily basis and any changes will be communicated via ACE’s website and social media channels.
Hannah Vickers chief executive of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) said:
“We’re expecting major disruption to how we work this Spring, so the sensible and common sense response is for us to pause our programme of awards, conferences and seminars for the time being. Where possible we are seeking out digital alternatives to our events. We all have a responsibility to reduce the spread of coronavirus and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. Make sure you check our website regularly for updates on the situation.”
ACE has published a web-page with the latest COVID-19 advice for members.
