Sarah Peterson of Harley Haddow was elected chair of ACE Scotland at its meeting in August. Sarah is director, energy and sustainability at the medium-sized member which has offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Sarah Peterson, new chair of ACE Scotland, said: “I’m excited to have been elected chair by my peers and looking forward to representing Scottish members at a UK level through ACE. There is plenty of opportunity for closer collaboration between Scottish companies across the sector and I want ACE Scotland to play a leading role in discussions with policymakers at the Scottish Government and administration.”
As well as the election, the group discussed how to tailor ACE’s three year operational plan to Scotland, with ACE CEO Stephen Marcos Jones in attendance to lead this part of the discussion.
ACE CEO Stephen Marcos Jones on Sarah’s appointment: “I’m pleased to welcome Sarah and look forward to working together to ensure ACE is helping its Scottish members both navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities which lie ahead on topics such as sustainability, skills, and social value at what is a critical time for the UK economy.”
The meeting also welcomed Jennifer Williamson (Cundall), recently appointed ACE Emerging Professional Scotland lead. This forms part of efforts to build closer and more established links between ACE’s national and regional groups and its emerging professional network.
