Hannah Vickers, chief executive of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), has joined eight colleagues from across the industry in being appointed to the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) steering co-ordination group.
Forming part of a re-organised structure for the CLC, the group formulates the strategic direction, policies and scopes activity of the council which provides sector leadership to the construction industry and interacts with ministers and policymakers. It shapes the work of the CLC’s Taskforce, of which she also remains a member.
ACE has closely supported the work of the CLC on behalf of the industry recently, notably around the Construction Talent Retention Scheme (TRS), Greener Regeneration Investment Fund and consultation response, Planning for the Future.
In addition to this, Hannah has recently been appointed as a non-executive director to Monmouthshire Housing Association where she will chair the association's development committee.
Commenting on her appointment, Hannah Vickers said: “I’m delighted to be joining as a non-executive director where I will use my extensive experience and professional network to help Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) provide the homes their local community needs.”
“It’s wonderful to be able to directly support a special organisation which has a positive impact on the lives of thousands of families. As chair of the development committee, I hope to constructively contribute to the decision-making process, enabling MHA to rise to the challenges of meeting unprecedented demand, delivering quality homes that people love to live in, and growing the organisation sustainably.”
This non executive appointment adds to Hannah’s professional experience. She added: “As well as giving me additional insight on the clients of ACE members, this non-executive appointment will help me gain a new, but related, perspective on our industry.”
