Unlocking Housing: Invigorating local communities through placemaking calls for a radical new approach to solving the UK’s housing crisis.

It argues for the introduction of placemaking principles, of meaningful community engagement and the building of supporting infrastructure including transport, homes, and education. The end-goal are communities which welcome new homes which are sympathetically designed.

The report was launched at an event at the Houses of Parliament on Monday 18 June. Following its publication, it was announced that ACE will be providing secretariat support to a new APPG on Building Communities.
