Join ACE for an exclusive member-only webinar exploring how a key government department is making progress on levelling up on Monday 26 September 2022 at 12.00 to 1.00pm.
Our guests from the Department for Levelling Up will share current progress on the Levelling Up Bill and their expectations for the agenda as we move forward with a new minister Simon Clarke MP, and prime minister, Liz Truss.
Chaired by Peter Hogg (Arcadis), who is also chair of ACE’s places advocacy group, the panel will feature Margaux Spriet, economist and Erika Williams, economic advisor at the Department. They will share a quick presentation followed by an opportunity for further discussion and debate with a lengthy Q&A session.
The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, champions the regional growth agenda within government and leads activity in this space.
Guto Davies, head of policy at ACE said: “We’re delighted to welcome Margaux and Erika from the department for levelling up to the latest of our in conversation with events. This is a great opportunity for members to find out more about the Bill as it continues to progress through the parliamentary process.”
“We’ll also explore how regional development might change with a new Cabinet and I’m looking forward to hearing the discussion on how ACE members are supporting the delivery of this agenda.”
The member-only webinar will be conversational in style. Attendees are encouraged to share any questions they might have for Margaux and Erika at registration. The session will also provide an update on ACE’s policy activity.
