NAVIGATING COVID-19: SEASON TWO

New webinar series with episodes on staying motivated, tax credits and a future recovery

Following the success of its opening series, ACE has announced details of a follow-up season for Navigating COVID-19

Designed to help members and the wider industry deal with the consequences of the crisis, the second series will also see us start to explore recovery issues and how our industry can play a key role as a catalyst for the wider economy. As before, the webinars will be hosted by chief executive Hannah Vickers.

Expanding furlough (Wednesday 17 June, 12.00pm)
Michael Archer,
Partner at ACE affiliate Beale & Co joins us for a special episode of our webinar series to explore the new options for businesses in the expanded coronavirus job retention scheme which now runs until October.

Preparing the office for safe return? (Tuesday 2 June, 12.00pm)
When government guidance allows, the industry will turn it’s thoughts to how to set up existing office space for safe working – incorporating social distancing and the ‘new normal’ as we return to work. Aaron Taylor, Principal and Sector Lead at Stantec and Simon Innes, Managing Director at Goodson Associates, two member companies will share their experience and findings. 

What does recovery look like? (Tuesday 12 May, 12.00pm)
Andy Mitchell, chief executive of Tideway and chair of the Construction Leadership Council and Alasdair Reisner, chief executive of CECA join Hannah Vickers to discuss what a future recovery looks like for our industry, Government and society.

 

Improving cashflow through tax credits (Wednesday 6 May, 12.00pm)
We discuss how R&D tax credits can release the hidden cash trapped in your working capital, releasing vital funds to help your business through the weeks and months ahead, with Adam Kotas and Gareth Randle of R&D tax specialists Forrest Brown.

Business Loans and finance (Wednesday 29 April 2020, 12.00pm)
ACE Advisory Board member, former banker, and special advisor to the Chancellor Alistair Darling, Geoffrey Spence joins Hannah Vickers to discuss the new financial support made available to businesses, as well as some traditional finance options.

Maximising motivation while in lockdown (Wednesday 22 April, 12.00pm)
Performance Psychologist Dr Andrew Dewar of WSP and Georgia Hughes of Arcadis and chair of ACE’s Emerging Professionals join us to discuss how you can make the most of your time whilst working at home. They’ll share practical tips and advice to help boost productivity which will apply to any role and at any level.
