Join ACE for a special member-only webinar hosted in partnership with the Home Office’s Immigration Policy team on Tuesday 5 April at 10.30am.
The online event will unpick forthcoming changes to the immigration points based system and checks, which will be updated from 6 April 2022, and help ACE members understand what will soon be expected of them as employers.
As a result of these changes, a new digital system will be introduced to confirm migrants who have a standard work or residence permit and British and Irish citizens’ right to work.
With the temporary adjustments on right-to-work checks introduced owing to COVID-19 ending, and the Home Office advising that businesses and individuals could be liable for up-to £20,000 in fines if found guilty of employing someone who does not have the right to work in the UK, it is vital that employers understand the new legislation in detail.
Joining Claire Clifford, Director of People, Skills and Culture at ACE, are Carrie Golding head of external engagement and John Harrison, policy manager – Right to Work, compliant environment & enforcement Unit, at the Home Office.
This webinar will take place on Tuesday 5 April at 10.30am to 11.30am and is open to anyone working for an ACE member.
Claire Clifford said: “Given the change in approach and the scale of potential fines – for companies and individuals – we felt it was important to invite the Home Office to speak directly to our members. These changes are just around the corner and come into effect the day after our webinar, so attendance is the best way of ensuring your company is on top of this new approach. I look forward to seeing you there.”
