The Welsh Government has shared a call for Evidence for informing the development of Wales’ decarbonisation pathway to Net Zero by 2050. The consultation will also provide an initial step towards potentially developing a Just Transition Framework.
Members interested in supporting the ACE submission are asked to share thoughts and ideas by Tuesday 28th February. ACE Emerging Professionals are also invited to contribute to the submission.
Olivia Smalley, ACE's lead in Wales said: “This is another important step in Wales’ journey to Net Zero. As the designers of our built environment, ACE members are ideally placed to offer practical insights and share their experiences of tangible delivery and working in partnership with Government. This will not only help ensure a more rounded Net Zero strategy, but one where all companies – no matter their size – can positively and proactively contribute towards the goals.”
Kate Attwood, Chair of ACE Wales Committee added: “ACE member companies right across Wales will be key to ensuring the successful delivery of the Welsh Government’s ambitions.”
“This Call for Evidence is important in ensuring Government bases its plans on robust evidence. The ACE Wales Committee looks forward to submitting its evidence and working with key stakeholders on next steps”.
