ACE is delighted to share details of two new practical wellbeing workshops for its members.
The sessions on building resilience and stress provide attendees with the tangible advice and support their own wellbeing, as well as increasing wellbeing across their own organisations, and are provided in partnership with Accelerator, a training and development specialist.
Together ACE and Accelerator have developed a practical programme across the two exclusive workshops. Filled on a first come, first served basis, the intimate sessions will provide attendees with a number of new approaches to help them devise impactful wellbeing strategies for themselves and, of course, their organisations. Thanks to ACE's partnership with Accelerator, these workshop sessions are totally free – offering a saving of more than £500 per person, per session – and are open to anyone working for an ACE member.
The first session takes place on Monday11 October 2021 and explores how best to actively build resilience. While the pandemic pushed many of us outside of our natural comfort zones and revealed our own increased resilience, there are a series of coping measures, which can be taught, that will help us to do the same on a day-to-day basis.
Following this, Keep Calm & Carry On takes place on Wednesday 3 November 2021 at 12pm. Coinciding with National Stress Awareness Day, the session will ask what is stress, identify bad habits to cope with stress, and how to asses levels with the ‘Accelerator Stress Jar’.
Commenting on our virtual workshops launch, Claire Clifford, director of people, skills, and culture at ACE said: “We’re delighted to be working with Accelerator to offer these intimate and practical sessions. Whether building resilience or exploring stress, they will not only provide individuals with the practical tools and approaches to support their own wellbeing, but also help them to develop impactful company-wide strategies to deal with the challenges of home and hybrid working.”
In addition to the two workshops, a more traditional webinar focusing on wellbeing takes place on Wednesday 6 October 2021. Building Mental Health Awareness is part of ACE’s Insight webinar series and is hosted by ACE’s North West group. The webinar is free-to-attend and all members are welcome.
Rebecca King (Curtins) welcomes Liggy Webb an award winning and bestselling author recognised as a thought-leader on human resilience. She will speak about stress and avoiding burnout. Joining them are Lynn Delaney, chair of the Merseyside and North Cheshire branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and Martin Lockham, of Mates in Mind, a construction based mental health charity.
