ATKINS SECURES £40M SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL HIGHWAYS CONTRACT

Atkins has been appointed by Surrey County Council to develop and lead maintenance and improvement works across its 3,000-mile road network, as part of a major investment programme.  

Under the terms of the £40m+, five-year Highways and Infrastructure Professional Service contract – which includes the option of a further four years - Atkins will deliver asset management design for single carriageways, dual carriageways, and local roads, as well as associated infrastructure such as bridges, embankments, street lighting and drainage systems. 

Services being provided by Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, include: 

  • Major project improvements delivery.
  • Placemaking and urban design.
  • Highway and asset management.
  • Multidisciplinary consultancy to support major projects.
  • Structural and geotechnical engineering.
  • Environmental and ecological consultancy.
  • Drainage and flooding assessments and improvements.
  • Parking and traffic schemes.
  • Project and programme management.
