Ferrovial Construction has named Selena Strudwick as the new legal director for its UK and Ireland construction business, replacing David DuBuisson who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Strudwick has also been promoted to Ferrovial’s UK construction board.
Since qualifying as a lawyer 12 years ago, Strudwick has worked in private practice in the infrastructure and major projects sector before moving in-house in 2018. Whilst in private practice, she acted for clients on a number of high-profile PPPs both in the UK and internationally, with a particular focus on transport.
In 2020, she joined the Ferrovial Construction team to look after the central contract of its Tideway Tunnel project, Northern Line Extension and Silvertown Tunnel projects.
Commenting on Strudwick’s arrival as legal director, Karl Goose, Ferrovial managing director for UK and Ireland, said: “I would like to thank David DuBuisson for his loyal years of service to the company as we have grown to become the established contractor for the UKs largest infrastructure schemes that we are today. Selena joins the board at an exciting time of continued growth and expansion into different sectors and it is my absolute pleasure to welcome her to my leadership team.”
Reacting to her appointment, Selena Strudwick said: “I’m delighted to be joining the UK board as we look to expand the business in the UK and explore new sectors. For me, Ferrovial offers something unique. Over the space of 15 years, the company has grown to be a major contractor in the UK market, but it continues to place the people that work here at the heart of any business strategy.”
