FIND OUT WHAT THE WORKPLACE OF THE FUTURE IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE

Construction minister Nadhim Zahawi will deliver the keynote introduction to the online launch of a new Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) report, Future of the Workplace, on 11 November 2020 at 12 noon.

The research is spearheaded by ACE’s group for the next generation of business leaders, ACE Emerging Professionals, and explores changing perceptions and expectations of this new generation with regard to their workplace. It forms the next stage of ACE’s Future of Consultancy campaign.

The event will be hosted by the chair of ACE Emerging Professionals, Georgia Hughes of Arcadis, who will be joined by a trio of emerging professionals from across the industry - Rebecca King of Curtins, Nikhita Kumar of the Department for Trade, and Jordan McGlacken of WSP - to present the findings.

Simon Innes of Goodson Associates, Martin Silvester of Arcadis and Mark Naysmith and Lesley Hume from WSP, will also join the event to discuss the report’s recommendations and what they mean for SMEs and large consultancies.

Commenting on the report’s release, Georgia Hughes, chair of ACE Emerging Professionals, said: “We’re looking forward to sharing the findings of our year-long research into the future of the workplace and exploring how we can attract and retain the emerging generation.  Of course, Covid-19 has turned the workplace on its head over the last seven months, but as recovery ramps up, there is a real opportunity to for us to create a culture and environment that enables people to thrive, no matter what stage of career they are at.”

Hannah Vickers, chief executive of ACE, said: “I’d like to personally thank the minister for supporting our Future of the Workplace initiative. This next phase of the Future of Consultancy campaign will be crucial for business leaders looking to position their companies at the forefront of the industry, as well as more immediate issues around the return to the office and creating welcoming, safe, productive, flexible and healthy work environments.”
