GLEEDS LAUNCHES NEW SERVICE FOR PUBLIC SECTOR

International property and construction consultancy Gleeds has launched a new troubleshooting service for public sector bodies in the north of England.

The newly formed built environment team has been originated by directors Sophie Williams and Elise Daley, who are to be based out of the business’ Manchester office.

Together they have significant experience in the property industry, working with a range of clients.

The first initiative of its kind for Gleeds, the new team will be responsible for delivering creative solutions for public sector clients centred around unlocking and bringing forward challenging and complex built environment projects.

It will cover everything from conception to delivery, providing vital support across a number of core service areas including strategy, delivery solutions, funding, governance and procurement, implementation and stakeholder engagement.

As former delivery managers, service leads Williams and Daley have significant experience across both the public and private sectors, most recently supporting Greater Manchester Combined Authority to achieve its complex aspirations.

In their new roles, the pair will be responsible for developing and establishing this innovative service delivery line at Gleeds.

In time, its reach will extend from the north of England to become a UK-wide service, whilst ensuring the business sits at the forefront of public sector working.

Williams said: “Elise and I have been working with clients from Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s 10 districts, as well as with Rochdale Development Agency and other public sector organisations for many years.

“We’re passionate about helping them to unlock the potential of their projects, plugging the skills gaps which may otherwise prevent them from realising their vision.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring all that experience to the fore by spearheading the introduction of this new service at Gleeds and complementing the extensive existing north England property consultancy team offer.”

Paul Mann, regional director for Gleeds in the north of England, added: “Sophie and Elise have earnt stellar reputations for delivering targeted, expert support for public sector organisations and I am delighted to have them heading up the built environment team at Gleeds.

“The service that we offer will be bespoke for each client, considering their short, medium, and long-term requirements and utilising the considerable expertise that exists across the business to create tailored solutions which enable them to achieve their aspirations.”
