HOW TO SENSE-CHECK YOUR R&D CLAIM

Revenue from R&D tax credits can be an effective method for firms to boost cash flow without incurring debt from what they may consider everyday work. Companies that spend money developing new products, processes or services, or enhancing existing ones, are eligible for R&D tax relief.

To assist consultancy firms claiming tax credits, ACE is hosting a free-to-attend webinar on Tuesday 6 October which will provide firms with an overview of their R&D claim.

Every R&D tax credit claim is unique and comes with its own nuances. But there are three big questions firms need to ask when assessing their own claims.

Value - are you getting what you deserve?

Risk - are you being properly protected from risk?

Time - are your claims eating up way too much of your time?

ACE and R&D tax specialists ForrestBrown have put together the webinar, “Three ways to sense-check your R&D claim”,  specifically for engineering firms who are already claiming and to help give greater clarity when addressing these all-important questions.

ForrestBrown’s multidisciplinary team of chartered tax advisers, chartered accountants, engineering specialists and former HMRC inspectors can help firms in three key areas - 1) maximising a firm’s R&D tax credit claim value; (2) minimising time commitment; and (3) ensuring that a claim stands up to HMRC scrutiny.

R&D tax credits are now easily available to consultancy firms who can use ForrestBrown expertise to retrospectively claim back project costs already incurred and plan for future investments. This is real cash for businesses to help alleviate current economic issues.

With the furlough scheme ending in October and, as a result, staff costs increasing once again, now is a critical time for firms to get their claims right. An effective R&D tax credit claim can help reduce costs substantially.
