JOHN CRACK JOINS MOTT MACDONALD TO HEAD UP MAJOR PROJECTS

John Crack has joined Mott MacDonald as global portfolio leader for transport orientated developments and major projects principal.

Prior to joining Mott MacDonald, Crack was head of structural engineering at Canary Wharf Group. In this role, he was responsible for all the company’s buildings and major infrastructure works, both on the Canary Wharf Estate as well as interests elsewhere.

Crack is a chartered engineer (MICE and MIStructE) and holds dual European-US MBAs from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and Purdue University in the United States.

Starting his career with Arup in London, he later worked on various high-profile building and civil engineering projects in Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Malaysia. He also spent four years in Hanoi as managing director of Hyder Consulting’s JV company in Vietnam.

Speaking on his appointment, Crack said: “It’s a really exciting time to be joining Mott MacDonald and I’m really looking forward to being involved with projects that create hugely beneficial social outcomes. The company has a well-deserved global reputation for excellence and professionalism, and I believe my skills and experience will be a great fit.”
