Mott MacDonald has appointed Ben Adams to the newly created role of head of ecosystems to help shape the future of its partnership programme and deliver increased value across its digital offering.
Adams joins Mott MacDonald from Arcadis Gen where he was ecosystems director, leading the identification and development of partnerships from start-ups to system integrators to blue-chip technology firms.
Mott MacDonald believe that maximising the benefit that digital technology brings to infrastructure delivery is reliant on a partnership approach that brings the best thinking and innovation to the fore. The new role is focused on creating and nurturing a flourishing ecosystem of partners around the Moata digital platform, aligned to the Moata vision of engineering innovation on demand. A thriving ecosystem will further create a rich suite of integrated and interoperable digital solutions that give clients enormous choice in how they use technology to enhance the delivery and operation of their infrastructure.
A leader in his field with a track record of growing and transforming business units in consultancy, contracting and SaaS environments, Ben has experience in a diverse range of sectors including renewable energy, nuclear power, defence, aerospace, rail and software development.
An advocate of digital transformation, Adams has also undertaken leadership roles for a broad range of clients ranging from Waitrose to Transport for London.
Commenting on his appointment Adams said: “I’m excited to be joining Mott MacDonald at a pivotal time in its growth journey. It has an unrivalled combination of domain and digital expertise that has already delivered enormous benefit to clients. Maximising the value that technology can bring requires an ecosystem approach. No single company has all of the answers and no single technology solves all of the problems. We’re putting an ecosystem approach at the heart of how we develop our offering to turbo-charge the value we can deliver to clients.”
