The first keenly-anticipated roundtable in the brand new Building Inclusivity series from ACE and EIC is all set for Wednesday, 13 July, and features guests from Building Equality, representatives of ACE’s emerging professionals, and ACE CEO Stephen Marcos Jones.
Together they will explore how businesses can do more to nurture welcoming workplaces for LGBTQ+ communities, as well as the challenges and solutions to creating more inclusive businesses.
Looking “beyond pride” it will provide tangible tools, advice and support to ensure your business is making positive steps for a change in culture all year round.
The lunchtime discussion on Wednesday 13 July at 12pm is open to all and features Vicky Thorburn (Buro Happold) and Peter Weller (Mott MacDonald) from Building Equality, who will share how they’ve been campaigning for change.
In a relaxed, informal, and welcoming yet informative online setting, the panel will also share best-practice and lived experiences to help inspire others with the chair of ACE’s emerging professionals, Wojciech Szewczak (Ramboll), Sharon Slinger (Constructing Rainbows) and Angela Gildea (Typsa).
Chaired by ACE CEO Stephen Marcos Jones, the roundtable will also feature Claire Clifford, director of people, skills and culture at ACE.
Claire Clifford said: “Open to anyone in the industry, our roundtables are a great way to understand the inclusivity agenda and ensure not only that your business is playing its part in creating welcoming workplaces, but that you are – on a personal level – providing support to colleagues as an ally. We look forward to seeing you there.”
