Construction is nearing completion at Greenbox Darlington, an industrial and logistics development which will deliver 400,000sq ft of industrial space.
The site’s concept has been built by Partners Group acting on behalf of its clients, in conjunction with Citivale, a specialist logistics developer and operator.
Greenbox Darlington comprises three industrial units, ranging from 84,000 sq ft to 213,000 sq ft.
The site is targeting an EPC A and BREEAM Excellent rating, and will also aim to achieve units that are net carbon zero in operation
It is also strategically positioned within close proximity to the A66, and next to three junctions on the A1(M).
Winvic is the contractor for the scheme, which is aiming for completion in February next year.
Alex Reynolds, development director at Citivale, said: “The completion of Greenbox Darlington in February 2025 will mark a significant milestone in our strategy to deliver sustainable, market-leading industrial assets.
“Greenbox Darlington will set a new quality benchmark for ESG-led developments and represent one of the UK’s very best critical logistics infrastructure assets.
“We are proud that this new strategic location will play a vital, long-term role in strengthening the UK’s supply chain resilience and make a positive impact at a local level for the environment and for communities.”
