The Scottish government is conducting a survey of suppliers to the public sector in Scotland to explore a range of issues related to public procurement and the tendering process. They are interested in companies’ experiences of bidding for and/or delivering Scottish public sector contracts, the provision of training, support and advice on tendering, barriers to bidding for and/or delivering contracts and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The survey is voluntary, however the feedback that suppliers can provide will be invaluable in helping to shape future thinking on the delivery of public procurement in Scotland. By ‘Scottish public sector’, the government means public sector bodies which are based in Scotland and whose functions are exercisable in or as regards Scotland and do not relate to reserved matters – for example, a Scottish local authority, a health body in Scotland, or a Scottish university or college.
The survey should take around 20-30 minutes to complete and responses will be completely anonymous.
