TYPSA APPOINTS STEPHEN RUSSELL AS UK AND IRELAND TRANSPORT DIRECTOR

TYPSA has appointed Stephen Russell as its director for transportation in the UK and Ireland, with the company keen to build on its current projects across both the rail and highways sectors and see further expansion in the Nordics and other European markets.

Miriam Ruiz, director for TYPSA across Europe, said: “We are confident that both the UK and Ireland markets are good places for us to invest further. TYPSA is currently a key player in some of the most challenging projects across the region where we offer a compelling design and consultancy proposal to clients by capitalising on our technically competent offering, which has supported our sustainable growth over the last decade. We are currently immersed in the competitions for the A303 Stonehenge Tunnel and the Lower Thames Crossing, and we look very positively towards our future.”

Looking forward to his new role, Russell said “I’m extremely happy to be playing a part within the TYPSA team. Across the globe the TYPSA name is synonymous with bringing innovation and collaboration to clients and partners working on complex engineering and transport infrastructure projects. My role will be to help us build on the interesting and challenging work already being undertaken on landmark schemes such as HS2, the A465 Heads of the Valley upgrade, DART Expansion Programme, and the Dublin Bus Corridor project. I’m looking forward to working with existing and new clients across all parts of the UK and Ireland to support our regional growth ambitions.”

Europe is one of TYPSA’s main markets and has been one of the company’s key growth areas in recent years. TYPSA has established subsidiary companies in UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway and Belgium, taking part in various major engineering schemes for Europe’s transport infrastructure, including HS2 and the Stockholm Metro Extension.
