VINCI Construction has completed its acquisition of infrastructure services business FM Conway.
The deal was completed on January 31 and means FM Conway now joins the network of VINCI Construction to support the further growth of the company.
With a turnover of £580m and employing more than 2,000 people, FM Conway delivers essential maintenance and construction services across transportation, the built environment and public realm.
The business has been a pioneer in sustainable construction through its advanced circular economy model, and in particular the use of high recycled asphalt on the local and strategic road networks.
FM Conway will continue to operate as a standalone business but benefit from wider group support and resources.
On completion of the agreement,executive group chair Joanne Conway has stepped away from the company.
FM Conway was founded in 1961 by Francis (Frank) Michael Conway. Joanne Conway, daughter of late chairman and owner Michael Conway, became executive group chair of the FM Conway Group in 2022, following her father’s death.
Longstanding board member, Andrew Hansen, will oversee the next phase of FM Conway’s evolution and growth within VINCI.
Hansen joined the business in 1998 and becomes FM Conway managing director, and an EXCOM member of the UK division of VINCI Construction.
Mark Goldsworthy remains as chief financial officer of FM Conway while joining the board of FM Conway will be Xavier Lansade and Scott Wardrop.
