WEBINAR TO LOOK AT NEXT STEPS FOR CONSTRUCTION SECTOR POST-COVID

As the construction and infrastructure industry emerges from Covid restrictions and slowly begins to contemplate something approaching more normal working, there is an understandable desire amongst many working in the sector for information about what the future will hold and what the rest of 2021 will have in store.

To attempt to answer some of the pressing questions facing companies and individuals working in the architectural, engineering and construction sectors, industry software and information solutions provider Deltek is hosting a webinar on Wednesday 14 July at 1pm to look at the next steps for the industry as it comes out of Covid lockdown.

The built environment recently saw its sharpest spike in output since 2014 according to the latest IHS Markit/CIPS UK Construction Project Management Institute figures, but are we any closer to ‘business as usual’ and what will our future look like going forward?

During the webinar, a panel of key industry figures will share their top predictions for the remaining half of 2021. They will look at how confidence is returning to UK construction, the challenges that still remain ahead and how the industry can grow with confidence.

Key questions to be covered at the event include: -

  • How has the pandemic set the stage for accelerated transformation?
  • How will technology broaden new horizons and enable post-Covid recovery?
  • Where are the greatest growth prospects, opportunities and risks?
  • Which key strategies should AEC businesses adopt to help evolve and thrive?

Panellists at the event include Mark Doyle, CEO of Jarvis Group, Andy Walker, editor of Infrastructure Intelligence, Bret Tushaus, VP product management at Deltek and Nick Nieder, director of product management at Deltek.

Infrastructure Intelligence editor Andy Walker said: “I’m really looking forward to joining the panel at this event and discussing what the rest of 2021 has in store for our industry after what has been an unprecedented year and a half for everyone working in it. In particular,  really hope that we will see a ‘post-Covid reset’ across the country and indeed the rest of the world that will see all stakeholders in our sector think about the way that they work and how they deliver projects going forward in a way that will help the industry to demonstrate the significant social as well as economic value that it provides to society and communities.”
