The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee has released its report into Industrial Strategy: Sector Deals, which examines the Government’s development of its Industrial Strategy through sector deals, looking at five sectors of the economy - off-shore wind, steel, construction, retail, and hospitality.
In response to the report, Hannah Vickers, Chief Executive of the Association for Consultancy & Engineering (ACE), who gave oral evidence to the BEIS Committee in November commented: “ACE supports the Committee’s recommendation of future sector council collaboration with trade bodies, including unions and smaller businesses in cases where they can demonstrably represent the breadth of the sector.
“ACE is pleased to have pushed for this change at the Committee hearings, and we are looking forward to engaging further with the sector councils, the Committee, and working with other industry bodies in order to drive change and to inform future activity.”
