Association for Consultancy and Engineering is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE to the Transport for London board.

The new appointments to the TfL board demonstrate to the world that the London Mayor is keen to focus on project delivery, with new members including existing transport board members, a representative of workers, champions of social inclusion and disability rights, finance, energy and infrastructure experts.

With one position yet to be filled, the 13-member board represents the Mayor’s commitment to reshaping the board, and ensuring that it reflects the diversity intrinsic to London today.

Appointed by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE brings a wealth of experiences from a career in engineering as well as representation of the engineering sector, including his involvement with the London Infrastructure Delivery Board and the Diversity Leadership Group at the Royal Academy of Engineers.

On his appointment, Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE states:

"I am delighted to be in a position to add value, support, provide corporate guidance and give strategic advice to Transport for London (TfL), in order to meet present and future challenges. There are great talents and backgrounds within the board appointments under the leadership of the London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Commissioner Mike Brown.
