Crossrail has announced new appointments to its board, including current ACE chief executive and Transport for London board member, Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE, who states:

"I am delighted to join Crossrail’s board at a critical time for the project which is nearing completion. My appointment as a representative of Transport for London will be crucial with the future transition of the project as it becomes fully operational, but I believe my engineering, commercial and contractual background will also help the board to oversee a continued smooth completion of the construction process.

"Crossrail is a huge infrastructure project which will revolutionise public transport for many in London and the entire Board will do everything possible for this project of vital economic and social importance to be delivered on time and address the strategic needs of Londoners.

"On a personal level it’s extremely exciting to contribute to the final leg of this major infrastructure investment to the benefit of UK plc."
